Strawberry Season begins around April 15, for about six weeks. Call to check on availability.
Brownlee Farms is the second largest grower of strawberries in the state of Mississippi, and we are the largest grower selling directly to you, the public. We only got this way because we grow the biggest, sweetest, prettiest strawberries you ever saw, and our customers keep asking us to grow more!
Our juicy strawberries are big, often 30% larger than other strawberries, and they are red and delicious all the way through (not hard and white like some commercially grown strawberries.) Those other berries are grown out of state, and while they have a longer shelf-life, you'll certainly be disappointed in the taste. Strawberries are meant to be picked ripe, and eaten right away, made into delicious preserves, jams and jellies, or quick frozen to be eaten after the season has ended.
Don't miss the Mississippi Strawberry Festival, held right here at Brownlee Farms at the end of April (check our News and Events page for the latest dates andinformation.)
